Easy Drop Biscuits

About this Recipe

These biscuits are amazing! Tender and flaky and the perfect vehicle to customize. Breakfast on the ranch is a busy time and here at the Coffee Homestead we start our days early. I need something quick and easy to fill hard working bellies and this biscuit does the job! If I have bacon, cooked I can crumble some bacon and grated cheese into these and scramble up some farm eggs and it is soooo good and filling.

This is a recipe that you can truely make your own, just don’t be suprised if there are no left-overs!

I grow a lot of herbs on my homestead and these biscuits are amazing with fresh basil or parsley to go with Italian food or with some thyme and rosemary to go with a beef roast. I also use this recipe as my dumplings to steam on top of soup or stew in the winter time.

In the summer when we have an abundance of blackberries and strawberries I will add a little sugar and berries in the biscuits and sprinkle a little “sugar in the raw” on top before they bake and serve with more fresh berries for dessert.
