These biscuits go from breakfast to dessert and are so easy you can make them for every meal. This is the basic drop biscuit recipe that you can use to get creative!
1Stick of butter Cut up into small pieces and chilled+2 Tbsp Melted butter
1tspSalt
1tbspBaking Powder
1/4tsp Baking Soda
1tspSugarOmit sugar if making a savory biscuit
1CupMilk or Buttermilk
Instructions
Preheat Oven to 400º
Cut up 8 tbsp of butter into small pieces and set in the freezer.
Combine all of the dry ingredients in a large bowl and whisk thoroughly
Add chilled butter and "cut" butter into flour with a fork or pastry cutter till about pea sized pieces.
Add milk and stir with for just till combined. Dough will be sticky. Using a greased 1/4 cup dry measure, scoop level and drop onto parchment lined cookie sheet and baking sheet. Place about 1 1/2 inches apart.
Bake 15-20 minutes till golden brown on top.
Brush with melted butter when done baking and enjoy!
