Whether you enjoy them plain or piled high with your favorite toppings, these biscuits are a delightful way to begin your day. So pour yourself a cup of coffee, bake a batch, and indulge in the comforting flavors of the homestead.

This is a recipe that you can truly make your own, just don’t be surprised if there are no left-overs!

I grow a lot of herbs on my homestead, and these biscuits are amazing with fresh basil or parsley to go with Italian food or with some thyme and rosemary to go with a beef roast. I also use this recipe as my dumplings to steam on top of soup or stew in the wintertime. In the summer, when we have an abundance of blackberries and strawberries, I will add a little sugar and berries to the biscuits and sprinkle a little “sugar in the raw” on top before they bake and serve with more fresh berries for dessert. Imagine the warmth of your kitchen filled with the aroma of baked goods, inviting family and friends to gather around the table. Each biscuit is a canvas, ready for your favorite spreads or toppings. Whether you enjoy them as a savory side or a sweet treat, these biscuits are sure to become a staple in your home. Don’t hesitate to experiment with different herbs or fruits, making this recipe uniquely yours. Cooking is all about creativity and joy, so have fun with it!
